The Leaning Tower of Pisa Leaning on Me =)
The train to Pisa from Florence took about 2 hours before arriving at Pisa Centrale (the rail station). From there, we headed over to the obscure tourist information centre to get a map of the area. The Leaning Tower of Pisa, which is probably the most renowned attraction in Pisa, is about half an hour’s walk away from the rail station. On the way, we walked pass the shopping street of Pisa and the University of Pisa. The students from the university made up more than half the population of this 100,000 people town.
Pretty much the centre of attraction of Pisa lies within the Piazza del Miracoli or the Field of Miracles. There, you can buy a combination ticket (excludes the Leaning Tower) to see the inside of the Duomo, the Baptistery and the museums. What people usually end up getting is just the ticket to the top of the Leaning Tower. In fact, I see a lot more people just lying around on the grass patch and taking goofy photos with the Leaning Tower.
After spending some time at the field, we rented one of this group peddle bicycle (comes in 2 person, 3 person, 4 person or 5 person) to cycle around the streets around the area for only 5 euros/45 minutes. Before heading home, we had gelato at this really popular place right before we crossed the river
